TO CREATE a Web presence. And build fast, lean, effective XHTML/CSS sites that are accessible, and usable. You'll find no smoke, mirrors, bells, or whistles hereabout. Just creative and elegant solutions.

About

Extensive experience in print media, including art direction, graphic design, illustration, and advertising. In recent years, it has been my pleasure to work exclusively in the communication arts for the Web.

Contributing member of CSS-Discuss (practical discussions of CSS and its use), WebDesign–L (a forum for web designers and developers), and the Web Standards Group (for web designers and developers who are interested in web standards).

Taught at Syracuse University, The Art Institute of Boston, and Cape Cod Community College.

Graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA); and Syracuse University (MFA).

In another life, I am a painter, printmaker, and (sometimes) sculptor.

Cost

There is no charge for the code or the markup that drives a concept. As far as the concept itself is concerned, well... that is an entirely different matter. We'll need to talk about that.

Standards?

XHTML?

XHTML is short for Extensible Hypertext Mark–up Language. It is a general purpose markup language that provides greater reliability, more flexible design, and results in more consistent layouts.

Accessibility
on the Web?

Providing easy access to a Web site for as many people as possible— not creating technical barriers for any user.

What is
Usability?

Making all services and functions easy to use throughout a site, through careful and logical selection and arrangement of components.

What is CSS?

CSS is short for Cascading Style Sheet. A method that provides the ability to separate the layout and styles of a Web page from the data or information.
